Born in Salcombe,  South Devon, Virginia is a Journalist and writer turned publisher. She comes from families who can trace their ancestry in the town back to before the days of William the Conqueror. She is married to her childhood sweetheart John Lown, an ex Para and international businessman who is a Business Mentor for the Princes Trust. Together they started the "Support Our Paras" charity which has now raised over £`10 million to help paras wounded in action, and their families.. She is passionate about her home town and fascinated by the genealogy of local families. She loves anything to do with the sea.  Her favourite occuption - apart from writing - is walking on a beach with John and the couple's Bernese Mountain Dog, Joss.
